Local Community Groups
In addition to the community councils, the North Edinburgh Trust supports local people’s involvement in a wide range of other community organisations, including tenant / resident groups, neighbourhood watch groups, single issue / campaigning groups and various formal and informal local forums.
The North Edinburgh Trust also supports an active Young People’s Forum a group called First Class for people with disabilities and works closely with the Black Community Development Project to encourage the involvement of members of the local BME communities.
Community Activist Training & Development Opportunities
The North Edinburgh Trust directly provides a range of training opportunities for local groups and community activists and assists local activists to access external training opportunities, seminars and conferences.
