Strengthening Our Community
North Edinburgh Trust provides a range of community development services that help to strengthen the voice of local people and encourage community participation and engagement in decision-making processes. These include:
- Support to the four local community councils in the area
- Support to and development of North Edinburgh’s vibrant community groups and voluntary sector organisations
- Organising and supporting community consultations, participation in activities and representation in decision-making processes
- Provision of independent information and advice to the local community
- Provision of training and development opportunities for community activists
- Support to the local Young People’s Forum
