The Community
The North Edinburgh Trust’s area of benefit is the community formerly known as Greater Pilton, which incorporates the following neighbourhoods:
- Drylaw and Telford
- Muirhouse and Salvesen
- West Pilton and West Granton
- Royston Wardieburn and Granton
The area of benefit, which houses a population of approximately 25,000 people, figures extensively in the worst 15% data-zones within the Scottish Governtment's deprivation statistics.
A key objective of the North Edinburgh Trust is to support the integration of these neighbourhoods with the new communities that are emerging through the regeneration of the Granton Waterfront.
